Here are a few of my favourite sites

INDIE SHOWCASE - Home of the Indie Artist
This site promotes unsigned Indie artists and through their sister site the radio station www.awesomeradio.net they give so many talented people the chance to be heard. Great site with a link to the radio station and also chat room to talk to the DJ's and artists whilst live on air.

THE STARVING POETS SOCIETY - This is a Facebook page that was created by the highly talented Patrik Ryen. Patrik is a Singer / Songwriter as well as a Poet and Writer. He is about to publish a book (Details on the site) He started this page to encourage Poets and writers to use it as a forum for their work. thoughts and ideas to be posted and discussed. There are some fantastic pieces on this page. Patrik invited another great writer / Poet to co administrate the page and between them they are doing a great job.

Siddharta Spiritual Cafe in Cambrils Spain was one of our favourite Cafe bars whilst Jackie and I lived there in 2008. The owners and staff were terrific and made us welcome although we sometimes had fun trying to understand each other.

The Royal Oak, Infirmary Street, Edinburgh
This may be a small venue but it is big in reputation and visitors from all over the globe return whenever they revisit Edinburgh. Live Music 7 nights a week.
Well worth a visit
